The 2017 Most Distinguished Teacher-Scholars have satisfied all faculty learning outcomes through the 21CPI events and STLR Training. All of the events involved deep engagement where a change in teaching and learning was documented with an artifact. They also conducted peer review training and observed a colleague’s teaching and had their teaching observed. Finally, they videotaped their classroom and self-assessed their own teaching.

SoTL Scholars are faculty that have conducted a scholarly study of some aspect of their pedagogy. Research shows evidence-based pedagogy leads to deeper and more transferable learning. These scholars have written a proposal, received IRB approval, conducted the research, analyzed it, and presented or published on their study.
SoTL Mentors during the 2016-2017 Academic Year were Dr. Archuleta, Dr. Lambeth, and Dr. Lawrence.
SoTL Mentors are faculty that have mentored another faculty member who has successfully completed a year-long SoTL project.
