February

Feb. 13 – Dr. Wei Chen, dean of the College of Math and Science, will give a presentation on his cancer treatment research at 11:00 a.m. in room 205 of the Business Building. Lunch at Legends will follow the presentation.

Feb. 15-18 – The musical Man of La Mancha will be performed at Mitchell Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 15-17 and 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 18. By calling the Box Office and mentioning that you are an EFA member, you can receive 2 free tickets to student performances.

Feb. 23 – Reception honoring Bill Pink, Ph.D., president of Grand Rapids Community College, 5:00-6:00 p.m, Feb. 23, NUC 326. No RSVP necessary. Dr. Pink earned his master’s degree from UCO and was the associate dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies in 2007-2011.

School of Music performances:

Feb. 20 – Chamber Orchestra, 7:30 p.m., Center for Transformative Learning Radke Fine Arts Theatre.

Feb. 22-25 – Valery Kuleshov International Piano Competition, all day, Center for Transformative Learning Radke Fine Arts Theatre. A reception and performance by Valery Kuleshov will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 22.

March

March 26 – Dr. Sheldon Russell will give a presentation on creative writing, 1:00-3:00 p.m., NUC Heritage Room. Dr. Russell taught in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at UCO in 1975-2000 and is the author of a number of books set in Oklahoma.

April 11 – EFA Spring Luncheon (details will be available at a later time).
