The Office of High-Impact Practices (OHIP) seeks to support and encourage student engagement in their learning with tasks that require effort, build substantive relationships, and provided opportunities for meaningful feedback and reflection. By emphasizing undergraduate involvement in research, creative, and scholarly activities in all fields, the office encourages students and faculty to actively seek problem solving, collaborative projects with peers, writing-intensive assignments, and real-world application of knowledge across the entire curriculum.
Additional support comes from the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Team (URCAT). A committee comprised of representatives from across the UCO campus who works closely with members of the UCO Office of Academic Affairs and the OHIP. You may contact members of this group for information relating to undergraduate research and creative activities by clicking on college website buttons accessed through this site.
