Research, Creative, and Scholarly Activities (RCSA) Grants

The Office of High-Impact Practices (OHIP) supports research experiences for all students at any level, in all disciplines through the inclusive expression, “research, creative, and scholarly activity.”  The OHIP supports and encourages students to be actively engaged in posing and solving problems, working collaboratively in a community of peers, and applying their learning outside the classroom in real world experiences while reflecting more on the person they are becoming.

The link between research activities and student success is strong and well-known. The goals of teaching and research, creative, and scholarly activities are not mutually exclusive ones. These activities enhance critical thinking skills and provide hands-on experience for students to apply in their personal and professional lives. When involved in research, creative and scholarly activities, students enjoy positive, life-changing relationships with faculty mentors.

The Office of High-Impact Practices coordinates and administers a variety of opportunities for students to be involved in research, creative and scholarly activities. With guidance from faculty mentors, students may take advantage of the Research, Creative, and Scholarly Activities (RCSA) Grants program.
