Mission:

The Young Professionals Faculty and Staff Association serves as a resource group to connect and support professionals in their careers at the University of Central Oklahoma through networking, professional development and community engagement opportunities.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Young Professionals Faculty and Staff Association is to drive recruitment, retention and access of educational initiatives to ensure the continued growth and strength of the University community.

Target Audience:

The Young Professionals Faculty and Staff Association is open to any employee at the University of Central Oklahoma no matter their age or experience level.

  1. Networking/Social
  2. Professional Development
  3. Service

Unique Group Opportunities :

  1. Interest Group: An interest group serves as an opportunity to meet with other members who have a similar interest. (Think hobbies, skills, etc.) 
  2. Knowledge Community: A knowledge community serves as opportunity to share resources and learn from other members about a particular topic. It can be done virtually or in-person.

Ways to Get Involved:

  1. Join the UCO Young Professionals Facebook Group to stay informed.
  2. Follow this Google Sheet to sign-up as a member (can also be found on the Facebook group).
  3. Attend events which will be advertised on the Facebook group and through email.
  4. Start/join an interest group or knowledge community located on the Google Sheet.

Steering Committee:

The Steering Committee will meet regularly to discuss the association’s goals and initiatives, plan events and programs, and actively recruit new members to ensure the success of the Young Professionals Faculty and Staff Association.
