The UCO Faculty Senate serves the interests of UCO faculty members. Senators are elected by their colleagues and there is representation from every college on campus. "The Faculty Senate shall actively participate in the academic policy and decision-making process at the University of Central Oklahoma. Major areas of concern shall be teaching, research, student relationships, community service, faculty welfare, faculty personnel policies, and budgeting matters pertaining to those concerns" (Article V. Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities of the Senate, Section 1).
Faculty across campus are encouraged to bring forward issues related to welfare and diversity in all forms to the senate to establish initiatives for both policy and practice. Visit the Faculty Senate website to learn more.
