Claire Parker, Coordinator of Student Leadership Training

Claire Parker holds a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Oklahoma. After graduation, Claire began her professional career as a first grade teacher in Norman Public Schools. While she enjoyed teaching, she realized that her true passion rested in working with college age students which led her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Adult and Higher Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs from the University of Oklahoma. She is currently in her last semester and will obtain her degree in May 2018.

Prior to joining the UCO family, Claire served as a programs specialist and campus tour coordinator in OU Graduate Student Life. While in Graduate Student Life her focus was on creating events and programs that met the broad spectrum of professional, social, and academic needs of graduate students.

As Coordinator for Student Leadership Training, Claire advises President’s Leadership Council and Leaders of Tomorrow, as well as manages the UCO Leadership Academy and OKC Leaders in Training program.

When she’s not on campus you can find her enjoying the lake with her family, watching Audrey Hepburn movies, perusing dog adoption websites, or curating new playlists on Spotify.
