Dr. Dana Rundle - Biochemistry

Dana Rundle is currently working on a cloning project with Sarah Gibbs to develop tet-inducible protein expression in mammalian cells for several heat shock proteins.  Once this project is completed, the expression of selected heat shock proteins can be turned on or off to evaluate their role in the activity of the putative anti-cancer compound, SHetA2.  The proteins are also tagged with a green fluorescent protein to make their expression easily seen by fluorescence microscopy of live cells.
