Sanjeewa Gamagedara - Analytical Chemistry

Sanjeewa Gamagedara received his BS (Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Missouri University of Science & Technology, Rolla, Missouri. He worked as a Pharmaceutical Scientist at Analytical Research Laboratories and also as an Adjunct Faculty at Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City. Then, he moved to New York and worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Hartwick College for nearly three years. . His received John W. Claypool Award for Biomedical Research (2012) and Marilyn and Richard Vitek Graduate Fellowship for Analytical Chemistry (2011) from Missouri University of Science & Technology. Also he received Freedman Award for Student – Faculty Collaborative Research (2014) from Hartwick College. His research interests include investigating biomarkers for non-invasive early cancer detection, Lab-on-a-Chip devices, environmental analysis, and pharmaceutical analysis.
