What is Electrical Engineering?

Electrical Engineering is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field that focuses on designing, manufacturing, and testing of electrical and electronic equipment. In this field, students learn the theoretical and experimental skills required for digital signal processing, control systems, telecommunications, microelectronics, microprocessors, power systems, mechatronics, and electromagnetics.

EP - Electrical Engineering at UCO

Through the Bachelor of Science degree program in EP – Electrical Engineering, dedicated faculty members guide student learning through a program curriculum featuring; small classes, hands-on experience, modern equipment, excellent laboratory facilities, and the opportunity to participate in undergraduate research. Specialization is accommodated through courses such as digital electronics, digital signal processing, digital and analog communication, semiconductor devices, and control systems. Students in Electrical Engineering often either go directly to work as engineers in industry or attend graduate school in electrical engineering.
