Phi Alpha Theta

Rho Lambda is the University of Central Oklahoma’s chapter of the national history honor society, Phi Alpha Theta. Cultivating a tradition of excellence as citizen-scholars, students organize a variety of activities, including conference presentations, guest lecturers, movie nights, museum visits, community service projects, book sales, and more.

  • March 2-3, 2018: Phi Alpha Theta/Oklahoma Association of Professional Historians Regional Conference Hosted by UCO (Visit to find out more.)

Membership requirements:


  • Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours in History
  • ≥ 3.1 GPA in History courses
  • ≥ 3.0 GPA overall

Graduate students:

  • Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours toward MA degree
  • ≥ 3.5 GPA
