2018 National Photography Contest: Modern Tribalism:Polarization and the Social Connect/Social Disconnect

The Woody Gaddis Gallery, on the campus of the University of Central Oklahoma, seeks entries for the juried photographic exhibition entitled Modern Tribalism: Polarization and the Social Connect/Social Disconnect. Societal tribes organize around common ideologies. Tribalistic thinking suggests an irrational or unquestioned loyalty to one’s group (religion, political parties, and sports teams for example). While seeking to connect with people who think alike, it may disconnect people from humanity as a whole. We invite artists to submit work which embraces, fights against, or questions modern tribalism through photography.
