Argentina: A land of diverse science and captivating culture

Argentina is a large country in South America that has beautiful mountains -- the Andes -- grasslands -- the pampas -- and amazing lakes. The culture is as diverse as the landscape and offers a view into one of South America's richest countries.

Our study tour will take you on an in-depth journey through the beautiful country of Argentina where you will visit monuments, museums, landmarks and amazing parks of natural beauty.

Itinerary  (Subject to change)

map of argentinaAug. 6: Depart Oklahoma City in the morning arrive Buenos Aires Monday morning.

Aug 7: Arrive and go to hotel.  Walk to the Plaza de Mayo, visit the Casa Rosada, lunch together then visit the  Cathedral and Cabildo.  (6 hours class time). Dinner on your own.

Aug. 8: Visit the Museum of Latin American Art, have lunch together, walk to Floralis Generica, then tour the Recoleta Cemetery.  (6 hours). Dinner on your own.

Aug. 9: Early lunch together then a boat tour of the Tigre delta . (8 hours) Dinner on your own.

Aug. 10: Visit Evita museum, Botanical Gardens and Plaza Serrano (6 hours). Dinner together

Aug. 11: Morning writing time.  In the afternoon take the overnight bus to Iguazu Falls. (2 hours)

Aug. 12:  Arrive and check into the hotel then walk to the Falls.  Dinner together. (3 hours)

Aug. 13: Visit the Guiraoga refuge near the Falls. Have lunch together. Dinner on your own.  (6 hours)

Aug. 14: Morning walk to the Falls then take overnight bus back to BA.  (2 hours)

Aug. 15: Check back-in to hotel and walk to Puerto Madero and visit the colorful Port of  San Telmo.  In the evening go to a Tango show.  Dinner together.  (6 hours)

Aug. 16: Take ferry to Colonia, Uruguay. Day trip visit to a historical and colonial city. Dinner on your own. (8 hours)

Aug. 17: Independent study day.  Dinner together.

Aug. 18:  Gaucho day trip. (10 hours)  Farewell dinner included.

Aug. 19:  Take plane to OKC  in the evening.
