See the Mezquita

Visit Córdoba-once the head of the Roman Empire in Spain and the most important city of the Spanish Islamic kingdom for 300 years. It was a place where those of Islamic, Christian, and Judaic backgrounds lived together.
Explore the main historical sights of Córdoba including the medieval Jewish quarters “La Judería,” the Alcázar (the once palace), the Mezquita and the old synagogue.


Learn about and enjoy the traditional song and dance of the Gypsies of Andalucía in Southern Spain. This art form developed over several centuries from Gypsy, Arabic, Andalusian, and other roots. Flamenco music and dance became popular in the early 19th Century as café entertainment.

Held in May, la feria marks the feast of Our Lady of Health. The fairground is the scene of horse-riders and many in gypsy wear celebrating. The atmosphere is filled with the uplifting sound of Sevillanas (Andalusian music),  dancing, and tapa eating that make the Córdoba Fair an amazing experience.

Tour the Alhambra Palace

The Alhambra Palace was short-listed as one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. It is a stunning complex of Islamic palaces, internal courtyards, gardens, pools and fountains, and is the finest example of Islamic architecture in Spain.

La Giralda de Sevilla

The Giralda was the minaret of the mosque that was replaced by Seville Cathedral. Built in 1184-96, the tower was the culmination of Almohad architecture. It is considered the finest of the three great Almohad minarets. The other two are in the Moroccan cities of Rabat and Marrakesh
