Vice President for Information Technology

Cynthia E. Rolfe, Ph.D., brings a unique perspective to the university in her role as Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer -- a perspective that supports Central's innovative learning community. She worked in almost every aspect of technology prior to arriving at UCO. Having been employed in both private and public sector positions, Rolfe leads the university's technology strategy from a framework of efficiency and effectiveness.

Rolfe has served other universities as a tenured professor; director of academic technology; and assistant vice president for academic affairs where she was responsible for the university library, radio and television stations, faculty development, instructional technology and distance education.

She has served on multiple civic and nonprofit boards. She was the first Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce who came from an academic institution. She served as President of the Edmond Fine Arts Institute, the SunGard Quality Assurance Council, and the Edmond Economic Development Authority, to name a few. Currently, Dr. Rolfe sits on the boards of the Jesus House, Creative Oklahoma, Inc., Regenbogen and the Coles Innovation Forum. 

Rolfe enjoys a passion for lifelong learning, demonstrated by achieving four academic degrees and having completed multiple programs in personal coaching. She completed the Creative Problem Solving Institute training program and brings that knowledge and skill set to UCO both in her leadership-management style and by providing workshops.

Dr. Rolfe has developed a model for balanced living known as Seven Wheels.
