The Bridges program brings together members of Central’s faculty and staff community to a luncheon once a semester to learn about a particular country or culture represented at the University of Central Oklahoma and teaches them about cultural struggles they have inside and outside of the classroom on an American college campus . At the end of the luncheon, there is a time for questions and answers to allow faculty and staff to ask specific questions about the culture that may be difficult for them to understand.
The goal of the Bridge program is to allow international students to express their learning experiences in the United States and help UCO’s faculty and staff have a better understanding of helping and serving students from other cultures on campus. These sessions also count towards Central faculty's tenure credit.
