Forge Family is held throughout the summer, as a two-day track during Forge. You and your student will begin the day together, and then split for portions of the day giving you the opportunity to ask questions to professionals without your student around. Please note family members will need to make accommodations to stay in the Edmond area for the program.
Forge Family is a time for parents and family members to learn about the benefits UCO offers to their students. During the two days, you will learn different techniques to help your student transition, hear from seasoned family members, learn about campus resources for you and your student, and have fun!
Some past Forge Family participants have said "Parents play a role in their children's education and UCO acknowledges and empowers that. Thank you for getting us involved!" and "Wonderful student presenters who are very friendly & easy to interact with!"
If your student didn’t sign you up to attend Forge Family, you can still sign up. Contact the Student Engagement office at 405.974.2363 or email@example.com.
You don’t need to bring anything to Forge Family but yourself. We look forward to meeting you!
