The UCO Panhellenic Council is the governing body over the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities on the University of Central Oklahoma campus. They include: Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Zeta, Sigma Sigma Sigma and Sigma Kappa. To join, students may participate in Fall Formal Recruitment. Participating in recruitment provides an excellent opportunity to meet people and learn more about the Greek community but in no way requires you to join a chapter.
Formal Recruitment takes place over several days and is a mutual selection process. During the course of recruitment, potential new members meet chapter representatives from all of the Panhellenic organizations. Additionally, potential new members are able to learn about each organization, participate in activities with the chapter, and tour chapter houses. The week culminates with Bid Day, which is the day that the women will receive their official invitation to join one of the five NPC sororities.
Fall Formal Recruitment is right around the corner! If you are interested in going through formal recruitment in August 2017, complete an application. You will need to send in any high school and college transcripts you have, so please register early. Registration will close at 11:50pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Please review the information available in our 2017 Panhellenic Recruitment Viewbook.
Following formal recruitment, some chapters may seek additional new members until they reach the maximum size allowed for the year. This is not guaranteed or required, so interested women should contact the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life or individual chapters to determine the status of recruitment activities on campus.

The Summer Tea is an opportunity for women considering recruitment and their parents or families to learn about the Panhellenic process. We’ll discuss the process of mutual selection, how to talk about your values, introduce you to recruitment counselors, and help give tips on conversation during recruitment. There is no charge to attend. Pre-registration is highly encouraged, but not required. You can register for either date HERE! While there are two dates, it isn't necessary to attend both sessions because the program is identical.
