Freshmen
Step 1: Attend Forge! Sign-ups for Forge will open in early-March 2019. Check back for more information regarding the process and how to complete it. Step 2: Register for Placement Testing. All students who score below a 19 on their English, Math, or Reading ACT will need placement testing. If you must take a placement test, you can sign up for a time here. This should be completed PRIOR to meeting with your advisor. If you are unsure if you need to take a placement test, please email orientation@uco.edu with your name and student ID and someone will respond to let you know. Step 3: Attend Stampede Week Events and the first day of class! Note: Freshman students are those entering college who have not attended another institution of higher learning full or part time (excluding concurrent work). If you have questions regarding your admission status, please contact our office at 405-974-2363.
Transfer Students
Transfer and Non-Traditional Students have the option to complete orientation online through an online guide. This program must be completed before meeting with an academic advisor. Additional Programs
Forge Adventure Lite: If you have never been camping before, this is the program for you! Forge Adventure Lite takes place Aug. 14 to Aug. 16. More information will be sent out after your Forge experience. Forge Adventure: This experience is intended for those who have been camping before and want to find others who share their passion. Forge Adventure happens Aug. 14 to Aug. 16. More information will be sent out after your Forge experience. Forge International is for all international students (non-immigrant visas, such as F-1, J-1, etc.) Here, you will meet fellow students from all over the world and learn all about essential UCO and community resources. Forge International takes place on August 19 and January 6. More information can be found here.
Stampede Week
Now in its 22ne year, Stampede Week is easily the best week of the year! Held the first full week of classes, Stampede Week is your best opportunity to get connected to Central, meet new people, see exciting entertainers, find a job on campus, join a fraternity or sorority, get tons of free stuff and truly kick off being a Broncho the right way.
