AAUW Edmond Brunch
Five future women leaders (one from each Edmond Middle School) will be honored by the Edmond branch of the American Association of University Women. A formal reception will be held March 6 at the Edmond Public Library. Select school personnel from each of the Edmond Middle Schools and the Central Office, members from the Edmond branch and the state officers of AAUW, as well as the parents of these young girls have been invited. Each girl will give a short presentation featuring her distinctive leadership qualities.

Diversity Round Table presents comedian Melissa Shoshahi as part of DRT's “Unity through Laughter Tour.” Melissa Shoshahi is an Iranian-American stand-up comedian and actress based in Los Angeles. Performing across the county and Canada, Melissa brings her witty personality to the stage and knows no limits when it comes to comedy – culture, politics, race and gender are all fair game. Melissa also offers insight and humor regarding her unique upbringing and will present a performance that is focused on women empowerment.
