Web Site Account Guidelines

UCO's Office of Information (OIT) will provide links from the official university domain (www.uco.edu), to web sites that are hosted on campus servers, are maintained by UCO students or employees, and promote academic interests, departments, or student organizations, hereafter referred to as entity sites. UCO  does not necessarily endorse the information, products or services on the academic interest or student organization sites. The materials in the academic interest or student organization sites are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind neither express nor implied. UCO does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the materials in the academic interest or student organization sites in terms of their correctness, accuracy, timeliness, reliability or otherwise.

NOTE:  These guidelines apply to sites that are for general public use.  For sites that are restricted to UCO community members, please use UCONNECT groups.

A representative may request a web site account on the university server for the sole purpose of promoting the entity.  The entity via its representative and/or sponsor agrees to use the web site account to support official university activities. Any commercial use of the academic systems is strictly prohibited. The representative agrees that all copyright and license agreements will be complied with and maintained. The account cannot be used for commercial gain, personal gain, or piracy.  If it is determined that a student organization may be in violation of the web guidelines and policy, the organization's links or resources will be removed pending a review of the alleged violation by the university conduct officer.
