Banner 9 Implementation

UCO is commencing the upgrade to Banner 9. This new release delivers a number of important enhancements, including a modern user interface, enhanced navigation and process management tools, and new functionality across the Student, HR and Finance functions. It will also give us greater flexibility as we’ll be able to run Banner on any browser and on mobile devices.  In addition Banner 8 and 9 can run concurrently therefore we are not required to cut over to the new system all at once.  All form names and field names stay the same between Banner 8 and 9 as well to make the transition easier.

Schedule

We will begin the migration with the Administrative Pages.  The goal is to complete the move to Banner 9 production by the end of the calendar year 2017.  The new Self-Service Banner 9 pages will be phased in beginning in the Spring of 2018.
