The University of Central Oklahoma does not offer a student health insurance plan. You can enroll in a health insurance plan through the Marketplace website. Though open enrollment is currently closed, some individuals may still be able to enroll depending on their specific situation. Open enrollment for 2016 will begin Nov. 1, 2015 and will end Jan. 31, 2016. Click here to view important Marketplace deadlines.

Important facts to know:

1.    All insurance plans will have to cover essential health benefits including doctor visits, hospitalizations, maternity care, emergency room and prescriptions.
2.    You may be able to get financial help to pay for a health insurance plan.
3.    If you have a pre-existing condition insurance plans cannot deny you coverage.
4.    All insurance plans will have to show the costs and what is covered in simple language with no fine print.
