The following providers and resources are experienced in providing sensitive, inclusive, and confidential care for the LBGTQ community.

Campus

OU Physicians Health & Wellness Clinic

Open to UCO students, faculty, staff and community members, the OU Physicians Health & Wellness Clinic provides comprehensive primary care, including immunizations, annual wellness exams, sports physicals and the treatment of general illnesses and injuries, among other services. The clinic is located in the UCO Wellness Center at 100 N. University Drive in Edmond. It is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Students, staff and members of the public can make appointments by calling 405-974-3161.

UCO Center for Counseling & Well-Being

The UCO Center for Counseling & Well-Being provides services that help students resolve emotional difficulties, improve personal skills, overcome the effects of trauma or grief, decrease substance use, and achieve their intellectual, personal, and creative potential.

The Center for Counseling & Well-Being is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is located on the fourth floor of the Nigh University Center, in Suite 402. Please call (405) 974-2215 or come directly to the office to schedule an appointment.

Student Alliance for Equality (SAFE)

The Student Alliance for Equality (SAFE) is a UCO student organization that provides support for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender students, faculty, staff members, alumni, and allies, as well as for members of the surrounding communities.

SAFE has maintained an active presence at UCO for the past twenty-five years by sponsoring social activities, educational programs, and special events including conferences, concerts, and film festivals to foster awareness of BGLTQ issues and to promote a safe and accepting climate on campus.

Community      

Cimarron Alliance Equality Center

The Cimarron Alliance Equality Center hosts a variety of programs that provide support and education to enhance the quality of life for LGBTQ Oklahomans.  Some of Cimarron Alliance’s programs include:

  • Central Oklahoma Two Spirit Society
  • Cimarron Elder Services Association
  • Cimarron Young Professionals
  • Men Coming Out Later in Life
  • Telling Our Stories
  • TransOK Transgender Support Group

Diversity Business Association

The Diversity Business Association (DBA) is a collective of LGBT-owned and LGBT-allied businesses and professionals, including medical service providers, in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. 

Expressions Community Center

Expressions Community Center provides a safe, collaborative environment for HIV-positive and at-risk individuals to receive high quality services. They provide free, confidential counseling, testing and referral services weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Oklahoma City Youth United

Oklahoma City Youth United (OKCYU) provides a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for youth, ages fourteen to twenty, of all genders and sexual orientations in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood of Central Oklahoma provides women, men and families reproductive health care services. Some services include

  • routine gynecological care
  • birth control information and methods
  • pregnancy & STI testing
  • Transgender medical care
  • and many more services

Red Rock Behavioral Health Services

Red Rock Behavioral Health Services was founded in 1974 as a private, not-for-profit comprehensive behavioral health service provider. Today, Red Rock operates fourteen offices and service delivery locations as well as seven residential facilities and three adult/children crisis intervention centers serving a total of twenty-four counties in Oklahoma. Red Rock Behavioral Health Services has a long history of positive engagement with and work in and for central Oklahoma’s LGBT community.
