Be Mindful Week

BMW Spring 2016

Finals got you down? We have the remedy for stressed out students! Join the Department of Wellness and Sport and the Center for Counseling and Well-Being as we engage in a new kind of finals week designed to encourage mindfulness in our students. Keep updated with all information and details on our social media pages!

Monday, April 25 :

  • Paint Out Your Stress : This fun and messy art therapy session will snap you out of your studying funk and give you a break to recharge and de-stress! Spots are limited. RSVP through OrgSync or by emailing

          Where: Mass Communications, Room 216

Sunday, May 1 :

  • Dog Gone Stress : Fit some play time in between studying with the therapy dogs as they make their first appearance! These guys are experts on de-stressing.

          When: 2 p.m.-5 p.m.

          Where: Chambers Library, 2nd Floor

  • Stretch Out the Stress : Enjoy complete mind and body relaxation with yoga and meditation for every experience level. Snacks will be provided!

          When: 6 p.m.-7 p.m.

Monday, May 2 and Tuesday, May 3 :

  • Dog-Gone Stress : Since we can never get enough of our furry friends, they will be here two more days for everyone needing a study break!

          When: 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. on Monday and 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday

          Where: 2nd floor of Chambers Library

The UCO Peer Health Leaders will be on campus all week handing out resources and promoting mindfulness activities that provide students with an energizing study break!
